Description

Kulmbach is not in vain known as the secret capital of beer. A 3,000-year-old beer amphora, found in the Kulmbacher Land and seen in the Bavarian Brewery Museum, is considered the oldest proof of brewing in Germany. The archives show that even then the brewing trade enjoyed a special place in the margrave city. Our brewing artists thank the city to this day with beers of the highest purity and quality. In 1846 the Reichelbräu was founded in Kulmbach, which already in 1895 turned into a stock corporation. In the following decades, the Kulmbacher Brauerei Aktien-Gesellschaft asserted itself with responsible brewing art in accordance with the Bavarian Purity Law in the beer market - and is still on the road to success. We are always committed to the claim of our founding fathers to the Kulmbach brewing and beer tradition.
