Description
The brewery-inn “Lindner-Bräu” in Bad Kötzting is located in the heart of the Bavarian Forest, about 20 kilometers from the Czech border. Brewing has been going on here since 1870.
The property, which used to include a small inn, a brewery and a sawmill, was bought by Heinrich and Kreszenz Kolbeck after the Second World War. In the second generation, the business was fundamentally changed by son Heinrich and his wife Inge Kolbeck. On the one hand, the inn was continuously renovated and expanded, and on the other hand, investments were constantly made in the brewery. The existing sawmill was converted into a festival hall, which is now the venue for many club festivals around Bad Kötzting. The family itself hosts the traditional strong beer festivals here during Lent.
Today, the restaurant with its various rooms offers space for around 250 guests. The idyllic beer garden, which is connected to the spa gardens by a small bridge over the “Weißer Regen”, has seating for around 500 guests. Traditional Bavarian dishes are served here until 10:00 pm. Sundays have been closed for over 25 years.
Since 2018, the business has been run by Eva-Maria Kolbeck in the 3rd generation.
he beer range includes Export Hell and Dunkel, Pils and seasonal Bock and festival beers all year round. These are sold both in the brewery restaurant and from the brewery.
