The Hausbrauerei stands for genuine Franconian brewing art - traditional, authentic and perfectly crafted.
The landlord had Metzdorf beer brewed in Steinfeld for the first time in 2003 and has been making plans for his own home brewery ever since. Construction work began in 2014 and was completed in the summer of 2015, when the first brew could be prepared. In 2018, the floor slab was poured for the extension, which now houses additional maturation tanks and the bottling plant. The first self-filled 1 liter bottle was drunk on 01.02.2020. From this point on, our beer can now be bought in crates every day.
Metzdorfer beer is brewed in accordance with the Bavarian Purity Law of 1516 and then fermented in the classic cold process for five to seven days at a falling fermentation temperature. The subsequent storage period is at least five weeks at O° Celsius. This gives the beer time to develop its full flavor.
