Description
The ‘Ostheimer Bürgerbräu’ brand stands in the proud tradition of Franconian brewing in Ostheim v. d. Rhön and is aware of this responsibility. The history of the brewery began in 1827 and the first known mention of the brewery site is due to the founding of the brewery by Christoph Heim. A brewery association was founded in 1859. The Ostheim brewery was then managed by Karl Brandau, Daniel Reuschel and the brothers Willy and Karl Hoffmann in the following years until 1911. Louis Peter took over the company in 1911 and transformed it into the first Bürgerbräu GmbH in 1920.
