All beer specialties from the Ötztal brewery are made by hand using original bottle fermentation with yeast bottoms. Filtration, pasteurization or other heat treatment is deliberately avoided in favor of optimal taste development. Depending on the type of yeast of the respective beers, the barley juice in the bottle and the barrel clarifies to different degrees. Some varieties can therefore be enjoyed plain or cloudy from the bottle. Even in the barrel, the yeast base of some types of beer sticks steadfastly, making a bright, shiny color impression possible.
