Description

At the site of the present-day Alpenbrauerei in Bad Reichenhall, Bavaria, brewing has been taking place since 1494, as evidenced by a documented mention from that very year. The name of the brewery at that time is not recorded. What is confirmed is that Kommerzienrat August Böhm, an ancestor of the present owner, purchased the 'Gaßlbräu' in 1901 and turned it into the 'Bürgerbräu Bad Reichenhall.' Today, his great-grandson Christoph Graschberger oversees the business with its extensive and rich range of products. He is also responsible for introducing the brands 'Alpenstoff' and 'Gustl.'
