Description

On 9 October 1967, the 3 businessmen Rolf Rüb, Kurt Stiller and Joseph Hesl founded a general partnership in Bayreuth, in the former motor sports school (3rd Reich) - the company Rüb, Stiller + Co. All three, at the time employed by Leo Ross, were unemployed after the insolvency (September 1967) of what was then the largest construction machinery and equipment dealer in Germany. After both Rolf Rüb and Kurt Stiller had worked in the field for Leo Ross, Mr Rüb in Upper Franconia and the Upper Palatinate east of the A9 motorway and Mr Stiller west of the motorway, Bayreuth was chosen as the location. Joseph Hesl was in charge of purchasing and managed the office staff. Construction machinery and equipment were also sold, and the same customers were visited as before, but now for their own company, Rüb, Stiller + Co. In 1979, the oHG was converted into a GmbH. In October 1983, Udo Hesl joined the company after completing his business studies. On 17 February 1989, Udo Hesl was appointed as a further managing director with sole power of representation. In May 1990, Joseph Hesl (aged 64) left the company. Kurt Stiller then left the company in July 1993. Rolf Rüb died unexpectedly in February 1995. Udo Hesl has been the sole owner of Rüb, Stiller + Co. GmbH since December 1998. The core business is still the sale and hire of construction machinery and equipment. Repairs and maintenance are carried out in the company's own workshop.
