Description

The castle has existed since the award of brewing rights in 1620. Shortly thereafter, the estate was taken over by the Counts of Spielberg. In 1803 the castle brewery was built and expanded by Karl Joseph Graf von Drechsel. His last descendant sold the estate again in 1892. In 1919, the estate was bought by the family Rasel, which continues this until today and continue to brew beer there. This beer supplies restaurants, shooting and fire brigade festivals throughout the Upper Palatinate. In 1993, the castle brewery Naabeck took over the white beer brewery Plank in Wiefelsdorf, since then the Jura wheat is brewed there
