Description

Opened in 1995, the Steamworks Brewpub in Gastown, Vancouver, still uses pioneering steam lines to heat the brew kettles. As the variety and quantities of beer grew, the guys and gals from Steamworks started brewing in other breweries as well. After 18 years, the capacities were finally no longer sufficient to meet the increasing demand and the many new Steamworks beer creations. In 2013, ground was broken for the construction of the brewery in Burnaby with its own bottling plant for bottles, cans and kegs. Now Steamworks was ready for export to the USA and Europe, primarily Germany, Austria and Switzerland.
