Description

Some may wonder about the unusual name with the unusual spelling. The explanation is very simple: His name is Stefan Germany (like Germany in English). So "TSCHÖAM" (in exactly this spelling and pronunciation) became his nickname (who would accept the spelling "Germ") many years ago. A few years ago, he entered the world of homebrewing. He very quickly felt that the home-brewed was so good that he wanted to offer pale ales, IPAs, Viennese lager, etc. to more people and in 2016 started his beers in a small brewery in Mödling (Mödlinger Lager, Wiener Wunder, Citra Pale Ale, Hopfenheiter IPA and Brew black like the night). In August 2017, he moved to Alexander Forstinger and his 100-flower brewery in Vienna, where he brewed the two beers Wiener Wunder and Citra Pale Ale. In October 2019, after the many positive reactions to the resumption in his program at the craft beer festival in spring, he brewed the wonderful black as the night at the Schalken brewing factory. He planned another beer for spring so that he could round off his program well. For him, craft beer means individuality, regionality, creativity in recipe creation, proper ingredients, clean and precise work in a small and fine setting and (brewing) craft ethos. Conscious enjoyment is in real contrast to the fast everyday jug. Because similar to the development in viticulture, one recognizes the conscious access to the newly discovered beer, which offers a really incredible variety and quality of taste. It pays to seek professional advice in a specialty shop to immerse yourself in the "planet beer". Seasonal specialties should / will expand their range and bring variety. In autumn 2017 he completed his training as a beer sommelier in the Ottakringer brewery and in September 2018 he completed his degree as a diploma sommelier in Kisbeys Bierkulturhaus in Obertrum.
