Description

The Melcher guest house on the southern edge of the city of Villach has been family-owned for several decades and is now run by the third generation. The Melcher family rents rooms and apartments near the southern motorway and the Gail, and the guest house also has two dining rooms with a counter and terrace. In April 2008, the family-owned company finally set up its own brewery, where Melcher brews the Turmbräu. The brewery owes its name to the tower of a former fire station, which had to make way for a road and was set up in front of the guest house. The brewing plant is a LABU system (2/4 hl basic version), with fermentation taking place in an open fermentation tank. Four standing, double-walled storage tanks are available for six-week storage. [1] The beer is served in the in-house Turmbräustüberl, and the beer is also sold in 30/50 liter party kegs.
