Description

Weissbräu Schwendl is a small private brewery that was founded by Therese Schwendl in 1935 and has been run with a lot of quality awareness and love for the craft and the art of brewing ever since. The wheat beers are produced in a traditional brewing process according to an ancient recipe. In contrast to many large companies, Schwendl relies on open fermentation with subsequent bottle fermentation, which is now becoming more and more rare because it is much more demanding and time-consuming than tank fermentation. This means that the wheat beer remains a living product. In addition, the wheat beers are characterized by the brewery's own yeast strain, which gives them their unmistakable taste and character.
