Brouwerij Angerik - Harten Troef

Commissioned blonde beer (though referred to as an amber) with irregular, yellowish white, quickly dissipating head and deep orangey peach colour, not quite amber but tending towards it, hazy. Strong fruity aroma with spices, pineapple, lots and lots of coriander, orange peel, ginger, honey and, alas, a sulphuric accent of, excusez le mot, stale urine. Fruity sweetness and honeyish malts in the mouth, coriander drying the palate in a slightly agressive way, finish phenolic, not very pleasant and not very hoppy. Clearly a failure.
