World Beer Adward Winner, Category: Best Lager
A beer in which the malt taste dominates. Its origins in a monastic recipe are reflected in its heartiness. The beer pope Conrad Seidl describes it as follows: “Almost black, with a very slightly reddish tone, a sensational, firm foam and a very unusual scent, which is initially reminiscent of gram lard. The initial taste is mildly full with an accompanying coffee tone, which is dominant in the aftertaste. The sweetness that is common in Doppelböck can hardly be felt. ”The Ayinger Celebrator has been ranked among the best beers in the world several times by the Chicago Testing Institute and has won numerous platinum medals.
