Spontaneous, sour
Fermentation
Beer description
Our Summer Special Zeefruit is a classic Gose with a Homeland twist. By "kettle souring" the wort (based on barley and wheat) is acidified for 48 hours to a pH of 3.1. Coriander seeds during cooking provide a base of fresh citrus. Sea salt works as a flavor enhancer that, together with the acid, gives complexity to the beer with subtle saltiness in the aftertaste. During fermentation we added pure bergamot and lime juice to further emphasize the citrus character. All this together makes a very refreshing thirst quencher that allows you to continue drinking thanks to the pleasant 4.7%!
Cheers to the unique combination of sour freshness that makes this Gose a true discovery!
