Beer description
For our third Craft Collision we teamed up with Salt Brewing from the UK and brewed a West Coast Double IPA. Named after a pioneering industrialist, this brewery is known for its innovative beers, so a collaboration was a natural fit.
Together we created a West Coast Double IPA with a dry and clear character. This beer has an intense scent of pine and tropical fruit. The taste starts fresh and fruity, after which a subtle bitterness slowly takes over. The combination of Vic Secret and Chinook hops ensures a deep layering in aroma and taste.
Compared to modern, hazy IPAs, this West Coast style is tighter and more bitter. The hop aromas are central, without the beer becoming cloudy. The body is crisp and drinkable, despite the high alcohol percentage. This makes Better Call Salt a real thirst quencher for lovers of classic IPAs.
With this collab we pay tribute to the beers that started the craft beer revolution. The West Coast IPA put IPAs on the map worldwide, and with this Double IPA we bring an extra powerful variant. Hop-forward, dry and powerful.
Better Call Salt is part of Jopen Craft Collisions. In this series we collaborate with 12 friendly breweries to brew unique beers. We explore new styles, play with ingredients and challenge each other to push boundaries.
