Bear renews its summer beer range and launches a light and delicious summer wheat, which takes the beer drinker away with its refreshingly citrusy freshness. This beer is perfect for a Finnish summer evening! Bear Summer Wheat will be available during spring and summer 2024. "Karhu Summer Wheat is a summery and very fresh cloudy wheat beer, where you can sense citrusy aromas", describes Sinebrychoff's head brewmaster Heikki Vuokko. "The fresh flavours are a favourite among Finns, and we wanted to bring the traditional wheat beer into the modern era, making it even fresher and more suitable for the summer season," says Elli Karppinen, Product Manager for Karhu beers at Sinebrychoff. The bear image on the can was illustrated by Helsinki-based illustrator Eero Lampinen, a Finnish artist and illustrator who grew up in Belgium. His illustrations combine fresh pastel tones and pop culture imagery with darker themes. The characters in Eero's work are a way to explore and challenge gender norms. The delicate boys and bold femmes of the illustrations live on the frontiers of fantasy, in an enchanted relationship with nature. Eero's characters have found their way from magazine illustrations to huge murals and his work has been awarded prizes at the Mikkeli Illustration Triennale and Grafia's Tops of the Year competition, among others.
