Barrel Aged Beers What could be better than Holland's best bokbier? Exactly! The IJsbock version of Holland's best bokbier, aged in Calvados barrels. This ice distillate of our Scheepsbok tastes even fuller, and is beautifully complemented by the Calvados. A hearty autumnal beer to stay on track during dark days. IJsbock or Eisbock gets its name from the fact that the beer is frozen, allowing water to be removed. This allows a much higher alcohol percentage to be achieved in the bock beer without the beer becoming less pure.
