Beer description
Quadruples are typically very dark in color, ranging from deep amber to almost black. Like the Dubbel, our quad gets much of its color and taste from Belgian candi syrup. This ingredient, together with special malts, creates a broad, fruity aroma profile. Our quad offers a range of bright fruits that are reminiscent of berries, but also plums, raisins and cherries. The lighter aroma is a slight departure from the liquorice and aniseed notes of a traditional quad. This beer remains in the bottle for at least four months before being sold. The serving temperature should be 10-14 degrees Celsius for optimal aroma and taste development. On the palate, the Quad offers its unique fruitiness, complemented by generous carbon dioxide and a light alcoholic warmth in the finish. Despite its strength, it is quite drinkable, thanks in part to its relative dryness. A noticeable malt presence, caramel notes and simple nuttiness round off the range of flavors. The full bouquet of the quad opens when the beer reaches the desired temperature.
