Description

We are a family company that produces Belgian ales. After his studies, Mischa came back to Norfolk County and started hobby brewing with his father Jo. The beer was such a hit with friends and family that the family couldn't leave it at that. After moving from Limburg in the Netherlands to Limburg in Belgium, they had come to appreciate the Belgian beer. Inspired by this, they decided to redesign this beer culture in their business. New Limburg was born. With an emphasis on the Belgian style, they came out with their flagship, the Belgian blond. From there came a line of Belgian beers. New Limburg's real ambition is to make their own Trappist beers. Trappist beers, traditionally brewed by monks in their abbeys, are among the most valued beers in the world. Although the brewers are the artists they are, they also experiment with different styles that lead to some unique limited beers. But it's not just about the beer. it's also about the culture around them. The goal was to bring a bit of Belgian beer culture to Canada; Letting people come into the tasting room and have fun. It shows that we are making a positive contribution to the community. We also support other local companies with other locally manufactured products. We are proud to support the community as it supports us. People are always surprised to see such a place in the country. Using an old school as a brewery is unique. It is nice to open an old school to the public so that people can come and see that it is being used again.
