The intense caramel and melanoid character of the base beer is further bolstered by the distinctive aroma of buckwheat honey, which we did not begrudge during the brewing of this beer. The definite sweetness in the taste is countered by delicate barrel accents, which are the result of two years of aging in Willett bourbon barrels.
