Where, oh where is the sweet spot when it comes to mountain style? This style first encountered the brewery four years ago this season when they were able to take a crash course with craft beer titan Doug Odell, who hails from the exact region that this style represents. While the brewery loves the bold nature of a Mountain IPA, the opportunity to bring all that flavor intensity into the strength of a Pale Ale so it can be enjoyed in pints was just too great to resist. Using our hazy beer water profile with West Coast hopping, we used Comet on the hot side of the Cube Factor brewing process, while Amarillo on the cold side provides a ton of ripe orange notes supported by a robust bitterness of citrus peel. At a healthy 5.3%, this is a Pale Ale for lovers of hazy beers who desire a crisp bitterness that cuts through the sweet flavor profile.
