Beer description
Could there be a combination as fruit-forward as Nelson Sauvin and Simcoe? We’ve cycled through a lot – believe us, a LOT – of hop combinations over the years, but there’s just a little something about pairing up that cornerstone of the US brewing explosion with the undisputed titan of New Zealand that elevates a beer to the absolute next level. Deep into the Thicket utilises the blueprints we set out with our DDH Pale ale series and knocks it out of the park with aplomb. An equal share of both hops on the hot side sets a foundation of whispering bitterness, before a Nelson weighted addition on the cold side bursts with a metric tonne of sweet apricots, peach, summer berries, and crushed gooseberries take the lead on this incredible pale, with underlying notes of pine and floral complexity.
