The Kölsch is one of the beers that are closely associated with a region and the original designation is reserved for breweries in and around Cologne. Contrary to what one might think, Kölsch is not a lager, but a top-fermented beer. Beautiful cereal notes are immediately apparent and are accompanied by fruit notes and traditional, spicy-bitter hops from Germany. Soft and round on the palate at first, then a flavorful hop takes over.
