Polly's - The Requestion

We’re very honoured to be in a position on our brewing journey where we’re given access to some pretty special hop varieties before their release to the wider brewing public. During a meeting with our hop merchants at the beginning of the year we were discussing our options for the upcoming twelve months and were given a little bit of insider information on the naming of a certain HBC variety after a crafty little bit of leveraging questions through requests, and lo – The Requestion was born. Featuring a variety we fell in love with as HBC 692 before it found its commercial name in Talus, we’ve paired this beer up with Yakima’s HBC 586 to create an IPA positively bursting at the seams with mango, lychee, guava and citrus, balanced with a little herbal complexity, dried roses and pine resin to stop this beer veering into cloyingly sweet territory.
