Ruppaner Brauerei

The Ruppaner Brewery OHG is a beer brewery based in Constance. In 1795, the bailiff, Nikolaus Matt, founded the brewery under the name "Bierbrauerei zur Sonne". In 1872, the Ruppaner family of brewers took over the production facility and restaurant. At the end of the 1980s, the "Ruppaner brothers" withdrew from active business life and handed over management to Karl-Bernhard Ruppaner and Hans Ruppan's daughter Andrea and his son-in-law Wolfgang Scheidtweiler. Thus, the Ruppaner brewery asserts itself in the fourth generation as an independent medium-sized private brewery.
