Description

The oldest monastery brewery in the world is located in the middle of the impressive Danube Gorge near Kelheim. Strong beers have been brewed there in the tradition of the Benedictines since 1050. Weltenburg has always stood for special pleasure experiences. Weltenburg is particularly well-known and popular for its strong, tasty, dark beers. The beers also stand for the elemental power of the Weltenburger Enge and the unique atmosphere of the monastery: pure, clear, enjoyable, for the special moments to draw new strength. The special quality of the monastery beers is guaranteed by the low-nitrate brewing water and the regular storage for up to three months in the ancient rock cellar forty meters below ground.
