Dryhopped Hazy Pale Lager
Have you ever considered how much the fashion industry, and the beer industry actually have in common? How much they both constantly try to create new and surprising products by deconstructing and sometimes even clashing existing beliefs about what can be done? In recent years NEIPAs or Hazy IPAs have been way the most popular beer style when it comes to customer demand – at least in our neck of the woods. But when we gave two of our junior staffers free hands to create a new beer they came up with the idea of respecting the trend – while still adding a twist: a Lager yeast, not an Ale yeast. So, the result ended up being a Dryhopped Hazy Pale Lager. Some may deem the beer as a sort of style confusion (which it is) but we found the result so compelling, that we rather insist on calling their creation Stylish Confusion, as it blends the succulent, juicy citrus of Hazy IPAs with the malt crispiness of a great Lager. Easygoing and quaffable – as it was meant to be. Thanks to Villads and Rasmus – this one goes out to you.
