Brouwerij HOOP - WiT Woudtje

Jan Pieter Woudt certainly did not spit in his beer. A descendant of the well-known Zaan family of historians, translators, and journalists, he was the last to live in the old warehouse dating from 1878, located on the site where the brewery now stands. The building was completely renovated and now stands as a monument, called ‘Het Woudthuisje’, behind the brewery. Jan Pieter passed away in 2016, the year the brewery opened. This wheat beer is a fitting tribute to Jan Pieter and his family, and in this way we will keep the name in Zaandijk for eternity.
