In this cultural mash-up, the brewery marrys the tropical flavours of Sri Lanka to a traditional Belgian abbey ale. The rich, sweet flavour of treacle made from the sap of the kithul tree is balanced by the tartness of tamarind fruit. Together with the fruity and spicy flavours from Belgian yeast and Czech hops, this beer will make an excellent accompaniment to desserts and South Asian cuisine.
