Duvel - Duvel Single Fermented

Duvel Single ist a 6.8% version of the Belgian specialty beer Duvel 8.5% ABV in kegs. The single fermentation refers to the fact that it undergoes only one fermentation process. This gives it a gentle hoppiness, a mild aroma, and a subtle, fruity bite. The employees of the Duvel Moortgat brewery have been enjoying Duvel Single Fermentation 6.8% for decades and traditionally cold-filtered a small portion of this beer for sale at some selected locations in Belgium and on a larger scale in the UK and the USA. Commercial description: The bottled Duvel created by the Moortgat family is one of Belgium's most popular beers. The secret of its success lies in the use of top-quality ingredients and in the balanced, very specific and complex brewing and fermentation process that takes over 90 days. After brewing and the first fermentation - which takes about 30 days - the beer is tasted by the brewmaster and his team. At this stage, the beer is referred to as "single." The typical Duvel flavors and tasting notes are already evident, but the beer has a lower alcohol and carbonation content, and the taste is somewhat lighter and crisper.
