Eventide Kölsch Style Ale

Light-Medium golden color, straw, medium carbonation. Although Kolsch is usually clear, this one is slightly cloudy b/c it's an unfiltered beer. Low hop aroma with faint malt and lemon aroma. Carbonation gives a good clean coating, finishes dry. Solid beer with good base malt characteristics, hints of lemongrass from the hops, med-dry finish with hop pop at the end. The Kölsch ale has been in official existence for over 100 years, but its roots descend even further down than that. However, it has remained in relative obscurity until the last 10 or so years. It is an easy drinking year round style, light in body, and crisp in finish. With that in mind, brewery took centuries of German brewing tradition and added its own personal flair. The result is a very clean, easy drinking beer that fits any mood, and pairs with any meal.
