Groningse Grunn Strong Bock

Clear deep ruby brown, large frothy beige head, dissipating slowly, fair lacing; aroma roasted malts, raisins, dates, figs, caramel, brown sugar, licorice; taste light heavy sweet, slightly bitter, roasted malts, toffee, alcohol, spicy notes, with average to long duration, sweetbitter aftertaste, spicy notes and alcohol warmth; medium body, oily to creamy texture, average carbonation; heavy duty double bock not body-wise but because of the alcohol which gives the beer a fortified wine feel.
