The high-quality, unpasteurized pale lager is brewed using the traditional two-hop method, using Moravian malts and Žatec hop varieties. The fermentation at low temperatures takes place in an open fermentation vessel, followed by a minimum 40-day maturation in storage tanks.
The "Zwölfer" is characterized by its higher bitterness and full-bodiedness, which, in combination, give it a balanced malty-bitter taste. The recipe is designed to preserve the "old Bohemian" taste of the beer, which is characterized by a golden to amber color and a richer taste with a malty aftertaste.
