The beers of Leipzig are brewed with a similar level of acidity and the salt added gives the otherwise bone-dry beer a fuller mouthfeel while adding that briney quality that is so quenching. The brewery brewed such a beer and added Mango and Pineapple to it and the result is as unique as any beer any of us have brewed or tried. Tart, not sour really but certainly lactic, just enough salt to let you know it’s there, and a lovely underlying aroma of pineapple and mango.
