Mayhew founders feel the same about beer as they do about people: the more they can meet the better. During travels to do just that, Derek and Jean found themselves at a jazz and beer festival in England. Sitting alone on one corner of the lawn waiting for a show to begin, person after person and group after group stumped by, many saying hello and expressing their excitement for the band about to play. Their curiosity piqued, they paid eager attention when the music began. To both their surprise and enjoyment, it was a bluegrass band who played, unexpectedly, almost nothing but AC/DC covers. The group was a hit in the park and stuck with Jean and Derek all the way back home. Join us for a beer on the porch at Mayhew Junction Brewery today and you may even hear a song or two from Hayseed Dixie fiddle its way over the speakers. Anyway, one thing their founders have in common is a love for pub ales, and their Mayhew Mild is created to be just that – a highly-drinkable brew for a day in the park or a night at the pub.
