Mlinarica Dark Saison

And the last of saison series (for 2019) is rather different from the previous 3. Still rely on the wonderful wlp590 french saison yeast, but the typical red apple and pear aromas are far in the background. This dark saison gets its complexity from the 7 different malts used in it. The aroma is rich with dried plums and some raw cocoa is fairly apparent. The plums are present in the flavor in combination with licorice. Some hints of roastiness and a tarty hint are present in the finish, with both the licorice and dried plums returning in the aftertaste .
