For the first time, we have aged one of our Muifel
top beers in red wine barrels. Our triple
Broeder Everardus—never before aged in barrels—
was left to rest for eight months in untreated
Paulliac red wine barrels. We are very proud of the
fantastic result. Red fruit, vanilla, wood notes,
but also the fruitiness and maltiness of our triple
have given it a wonderful complexity,
with a perfect balance between beer, wine, and wood.
