Pivovar Květnice Xoco Stout 15

Xoco Stout is a top-fermented, dark beer. Cooked from light with a combination of caramel malts, supplemented with roasted (so-called coloring) malt. This malt was deliberately chosen to be wheat in order to suppress unwanted coffee tones in the taste. The beer is finely hopped with the English Phoenix variety, which gives the beer a delicate spicy aroma with hints of chocolate and molasses that transitions to a pine and slightly floral aroma. After the main fermentation, cocoa beans, supplied by the Jesenice chocolate manufactory Xocolatl, were added to the beer for a while during its maturation. These beans come from São Tomé and are famous all over the world. They are used to make top quality chocolate with a high proportion of quality cocoa. With their maceration, tones of real chocolate got into the beer, even with their typical bitterness, complementing the used Phoenix hops.
