Looks: Clear deep brown colour. Good sticky lacing with near zero carbonation. Aroma: Fragrant roasted dark malt, with strong coffee, waffles, light chocolates, caramel, toffee, cream, floral, icing sugar, bread and strawy grass. Taste: Close to medium sweet roasted dark malt, with some tartness, mild black coffee, dark chocolates, caramel, toffee, floral, sugar, spices, bread, lemon, mid to fair bitter hops and grass. Body: Medium body. Quite slick palate. Mouth Feel: Good dark maltyness in a fairly runny background. Roasty with notable tartness. Hidden dark chocolates with low-key caramel and toffee. Flowery with pleasant mild sweetness, spicy bready with fair lemon to round. Hoppiness: Floral and strawy grass in nose. Lemon, floral, spices and grass in taste; Bitterness is fair for an abrupt, mid to low astringent sweet-bitter dark malty finish. Aftertaste: Quite dry. Milky roast coffee and fairly bitter to mouth.
