Savannah River Blanc-y Kong Vol. 2

This year’s version of Blanc-y Kong showcases Hallertau Blanc, Idaho 7, and El Dorado hops lending this beer a juicy, fruity character. Notes of pineapple, tangerine, papaya, and stone fruit provides most of the aroma and flavor for this beer. The addition of wheat to the mash leads to a medium bodied beer with a doughy sweetness, and golden haze. The use of London Fog Ale yeast also contributes to the haziness of this Tropical IPA. Despite the intensity of the hops on the aroma and flavor, the bitterness is balanced by the malt character.
