dark brown color, small tan head. smells earthy, smoky, some caramel, ash, licorice, some milk chocolate, light coffee, spices. lovely smell. full body, soft carbonation, creamy mouthfeel. tastes earthy, ash, some charcoal, licorice, bitter chocolate, spices, light smoke, lightly acidic, coffee, light caramel. finishes rather balanced with lightly dry and lightly earthy and roasty bitter notes and taste of spices, light charcoal and some milk chocolate. lovely beer, more like a earthy / lightly smoked stout than a rauchbier. overall good stuff, drinks very lovely.
