Belgian Pale Ales take their cues from English Pale Ales-they’re malty with some spicy, earthy hop flavor and some nice fruity yeast character. The Belgian twist on it is the distinctive character from the Belgian yeasts. These yeasts usually contribute interesting spicy aromas to the style. Their version uses a yeast from northern Belgium with lots of fruity and spicy character. Hops from the US and Australia give this beer lots of fruity, spicy, floral aromas with hints of peach and other stones fruits. A pale malt base adds a subtle malty character that allows the yeast and hop aromatics to shine through. With graduation around the corner, they thought they’d pay homage to the classic movie The Graduate in naming this beer.
