Bakalář, a Vienna lager, is a great copper-colored beer with a thick white head and a copper undertone. The distinctive, full-bodied, and pleasantly sweet taste and aroma of the malt base is achieved through the use of special Vienna malt and complemented by the distinctive but subtle bitterness of Žatec hops. The bitterness is most noticeable on the upper palate and has a long, subtle and very pleasant finish. The balanced and perfectly tuned combination of malt and hops is complemented by distinct nutty undertones in the finish.
