Alder - Wairau

An experimental beer brewed with only German malts and hopped with a blend of US hops in addition to YCH303, a blend of Cryo Hops® and Phantasm® hops. Phantasm® is an innovative product that provides huge quantities of soluble thiol precursors in beer and is derived from the skin of Sauvignon Blanc grapes grown in New Zealand. The use of a suitable yeast enables the production of aromatic compounds such as 3MH (citrus and grapefruit), 3MHA (passion fruit) and 4MMP (currant and gooseberry). The beer is a deep golden colour with intense notes of tropical fruit, berry fruit and citrus.
