That boy's dreams sometimes become reality, is clear from the realization of the Beyerd Brewery. In 2004 De Beyerd restores a piece of lost Breda tradition. Where brewery 'De Drie Hoefijzers' was founded on Boschstraat in 1628, almost 400 years later, the craftsmanship is back in the street. 'Drie Hoefijzers Klassiek' is the first beer that is brewed here according to the original recipe. In addition to the Three Horseshoes, De Beyerd also brews various beers according to its own recipe. The copper brewing kettles and open yeast tubs give both the brewery and the associated restaurant a particularly nostalgic atmosphere. Behind the brewing room is the lower cellar that looks considerably more modern.
