The Grado Plato Brewery was founded in Chieri by Sergio Ormea and his son Gabriele, who transformed their passion for producing beers at home into a professional activity. At the beginning it was a brewpub, therefore with the production plant inside the premises. The first two recipes are the SVEVA and the SPOON RIVER respectively the 'light' and the 'amber'. Almost immediately the fantasy and the desire to get involved bring other recipes to life, the first compliments and awards arrive, the first exports start and some distributors who already see high quality products as an opportunity for the future begin to take an interest. These are the roaring years for the phenomenon of Italian quality beers, and Grado Plato does its part to highlight this new excellence also by organizing, within the premises.
