The birth of Dieppoise beer
Our story began over a shared beer on a terrace in Rouen. The simple choice of the other immediately assured us of one thing: we know beer and we like it!
When we arrived in Alsace, the craft breweries and festivals opened their doors to us, allowing us to discover more about the world of brewing. Curious about this hoppy atmosphere, we wanted to try our hand at making our own beer, using a kit in our little kitchen, like sorcerer's apprentices. Our first attempt wasn't very successful, but after ten or so brews, we had a growing desire to be able to taste our beer and share it with our friends. So we invested in a 20-litre Grainfather. A first step towards our professional project...
One brew followed another, and so did the gourmet tastings, accompanied by the positive feedback from our friends and family, who acted as 'judges' to help us perfect our recipes. The professional project is slowly taking shape: yes, there will be a Dieppoise beer!
Meeting brewers from Alsace and training at the IFBM confirmed our desire to open a microbrewery on our return to Normandy. As consumer habits evolve towards a certain environmental awareness, we're the first to focus on craft production and sharing our know-how. That's why, from an ecological, economic and social point of view, Dieppoise beer aims to be a product that encourages short distribution channels and has the smallest possible carbon footprint.
