ABOUT BREWERY "BrowW Rzemieślniczy BroWarka is a brewery that was established in October 2016 in Warka. The brewery is the result of many years of interest in beer and, above all, brewing beer. By cultivating tradition and introducing new trends in brewing, top fermentation beers are made in the brewery. Brewing traditions in Warka date back to the 15th century. Already then, in today's city of Warka, an alcoholic drink based on barley was produced. In 1478, the city received from the Duke of Mazowiecki, Bolesław V, a privilege stipulating the exclusive supply of local beer to his court and sale in the basement of the Warsaw City Hall. Historical chronicles indicate that in the 16th century as many as 30 brewers were brewing in the city (for comparison, in much larger Warsaw the number of brewers was 38). The city itself probably got its name from the most important beer production process - brewing wort or directly from the word "warka", meaning brewing measure. Historical accounts, legends and literary works confirm the fact that beer from Warka, which was valued for its taste, clarity and color, was hosted on the tables of the whole country during the most important feasts and feasts. The Mazovian prince Bolesław V, in recognition, granted the privilege stipulating the exclusive supply of wareki beer to his court (1483). At the beginning of the 17th century, Jędrzej Święcicki, a geographer and historian of Mazovia, wrote that "Warka's prosperity was primarily a beer ..."
