The brewery in Chříč represents a unique project of restoration of the monument and its return to its original purpose. In 2009, a group of enthusiasts discovered a leaking baroque rural brewery with a malt house in a state suitable for demolition and founded the Propolis association. Thousands of volunteer days of work and tens of small sponsors have gradually helped to create an extraordinary meeting place, work and entertainment. The Berounka Brewery is gradually fulfilling its vision of becoming a local cultural, social and educational center. In addition to volunteer events, art, dance and craft courses, a summer festival or camps for children are organized here. The brewery is a catalyst for the restoration of traditional holidays such as carnival or pilgrimage. An unconventional concept of the Museum of Everyday Life was created in the Baroque malt house, which in a playful way represents life in the village in the past. From the beginning, one of their motives was to set up a sheltered workshop here - a craft company employing several people with intellectual disabilities. This idea slowly matured to the form of a “protected brewery” where people with disabilities are taking up jobs in the brewery chase. With the help of the Via Foundation and several experts in the brewing industry, Pivovar Chříč were able to prepare a viable business concept. Some of the costs of reconstruction and equipment were provided by the European Union, the rest was covered by Česká spořitelna's loan from the social enterprise program
